Experience

I also coached softball, high school football, and middle school football, and I led Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Bio

My name Is Jacob Hollis and this is my second year of teaching. I am excited for this year, as I get to be a part of Desoto County School District. This is my first time teaching Physical Education, which is an awesome opportunity. My goal is to get students active and create a fun environment where they can learn about new sports. I want to challenge our students to be active, not just in Physical Education, but also outside of school.

I just recently got married to Mrs. Hollis, who is a 7th Grade ELA teacher. We are new to the Southaven area and love it here.

A little bit about myself - I am a huge LSU Tigers fan and Indianapolis Colts fan. My TV stays on ESPN, and I enjoy watching all sports when they are on TV. I am a dedicated Funko Pop collector, and have been for little over a year now.

I look forward to working with my fellow Southaven Middle School family and getting to know my students. I want to be a positive force in my students lives and be a role model for them to follow. I want my passion to speak through both my actions and my words. I have always lived by the simple quote, "It always seems impossible until it is done."- Nelson Mandela
