RL.7.1 I can cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the test says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

 

RL.7.2 I can determine a theme or central idea of a text and analyze its development over the course of the text, including its relationship to the characters, setting, and plot.

 

RL.7.4 I can determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text.

 

L.7.4 I can determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words or phrases based on grade 8 reading and content.

 

W.7.10 I can write routinely over extended time frames.

Mini Project

How Do We Fight Injustice?

Supplies: flash drive, computer, internet connection

Directions

1.      Research how some people in the world have chosen to fight injustice in a positive way.

2.      Think of ways you have fought injustice or plan to do so.

3.      Make a Power Point that includes pictures and explanations of the research you’ve done. (Research could be done on family members or friends.)

4.      You should have at least 3 slides: Title Page, 1 slide that includes the information you have researched, and 1 slide on how you fight injustice.

5.      Be specific and detailed.

6.   Present your Power Point clearly and enthusiastically. Control volume and maintain appropriate eye contact.

7.     I am looking for creativity and effort.
