Your child is responsible for checking in with me to see what he/she missed for the day. I have my own copy of the notebook, all they have to do is borrow it during class and see what we did for the day. 

August 17,2017 

  1. We took notes on the audio version of "Life Doesn't Frighten Me" by Maya Angelou. We discussed Pacing, Tone, and Style and the effect each of those had on the poem.
  2. We glued in a Tone/Mood handout into our ELA notebooks.
  3. Brainstormed fears that we have and asked the question, "Do our fears define us?" We are writing an essay tomorrow that will cover that topic.
