Alexander, Brian

Dr. Brian Alexander is entering his third academic year as the Restoration And Moderation Program (RAMP) Instructor for Southaven Middle School. Alexander also serves as SMS's Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) sponsor. 2023-2024 will be his 28th year overall in the education field. Alexander comes to SMS from Baptist Health Sciences University where he served as an Associate Academic Dean. Alexander coached college and professional basketball for 20 seasons, winning 14 championships, before moving into the role of an Academic Dean. His teams at multiple colleges regularly led the country in player graduation rates. Alexander earned his B.S. & Ph.D. degrees from Mississippi State University. He earned an A.A. degree from Northeast Mississippi Community College and both the M.S. and Ed.S. degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Alexander is the proud father of Kinsley (18), Colson (15), and Noah (12).
