Mary Parish

Hello and welcome to Southaven Middle School. I am your 6th grade Social Studies teacher Ms. Parish. I hope you had a wonderful summer full of fun with family and friends. Sixth grade is an important time in social and emotional growth. We will take steps together working towards your success as you explore middle school. I look forward to working with you and your family as we partner up to make your sixth grade year a success

Education I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and I received my Master's degree from Belhaven University.  I have been teaching for eleven years. I have taught 6 years at Southaven Middle School.

Experience I taught second and third grade at Tunica Elementary School for five years. This will be my sixth year teaching sixth grade social studies.

Bio I have lived in Horn Lake for fifteen years. I have three girls. My oldest daughter is a graduate of The University of Mississippi. My middle daughter is a graduate of Mississippi State University, and my youngest is a senior at Horn Lake High School.
