Subjects Taught
6th Grade Language Arts

I graduated from Senatobia High School in 1997.  I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Delta State University in 2002 and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University in 2016. I am currently working on a second master's degree in Educational Theory & Practice.

The 2016-2017 school year is my thirteenth year teaching sixth grade at Southaven Middle School.  I am licensed to teach K-6 as well as K-12 social studies and reading.

My family is my joy.  My daughter, Aidan, is ten years old and a fourth grader.  My son Chance is eight years old and is in second grade.  My family keeps me very busy!

In my free time when I'm not grading papers, calling parents, cleaning house, or refereeing arguments, I enjoy knitting, riding bikes with my kids, and playing on the computer.  I am an avid reader, and I'm passionate about instilling the love of the written word in my students.  I am a member of Colonial Hills Church where I serve in the preschool ministry.

I look forward to a successful school year.  Let's make it a fun and productive one!
