Dissertation/Doctoral Study Topic:
Teacher Morale in a Small Southeastern High School That Has Undergone the Conservatorship Process

I started teaching in 2009. In 2009, I was hired as a special education teacher assistant. In this position, I learned that all children can learn in spite of any and all difficulties that is surrounding them. I worked in this position for one and a half year, the last part of the year I performed my student teaching in the area of English Language Arts. Once my student teaching was over, I began teaching. From 2011 to 2013 I taught third grade, also in the Chicago Public School district. From 2014-2015, I taught middle school mathematics and social studies in the Chicago Public School district. Each year that I have taught, students have demonstrated educational gains in reading and mathematics.
