It is truly an honor to be working with the students, parents, and staff in my 2nd year here at Southaven Middle School!  My previous experience includes working as an English teacher at Horn Lake High School for eight years.  In addition, I served Horn Lake Middle School for three years as the MTSS Interventionist and the State Testing Coordinator.

My education began at the University of Memphis where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Public Relations. I received a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University and my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Belhaven Univsersity.  Currently, I am working on my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership at Belhaven University.

My family and I currently live in Hernando. My husband of twenty-nine years, Bill, is a realtor with Crye-Leike Realtors in Hernando and my daughter just graduated from OLE Miss (Hotty Toddy!) and is working full time as a Marketing and Loan Officer Assistant. She is engaged to be married in June of 2020 and the planning has begun!  We also have three dogs; Oxford, Aladdin, and Jazzmin.

It is my commitment to the students and parents of Southaven Middle School to do all I can do to help each student become successful and each parent to feel proud to send their student to SMS!  Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is by email from my website.

I am looking forward to an awesome school year!
